Why credits instead of a subscription?
A subscription charges the same amount whether you use it once or constantly, and a job search rarely moves at a steady pace. Some weeks you are analyzing a dozen jobs, other weeks you are waiting to hear back and using nothing at all. Credits let cost track actual use: a single tailored, ATS-checked application typically costs about $0.50–$0.60, and a full job search across many roles, including setup, analysis, and several applications, still usually totals well under $10. Credits never expire, so there is no renewal deadline pressuring you to use them before you are ready.
What this actually costs, in practice
Credit costs are one thing. Here is what they add up to for a real job search, using the smallest bundle's per-credit rate as the higher end of the range and the largest bundle as the lower end.
Setting up
Building your Job Preferences, Background Digest, Master Resume Bank, and Writing Rules is mostly a one-time cost: around less than $3.00 depending on how much resume history you import.
Analyzing a job

Building an application

Reconciling after you apply

What each action costs
Some actions can be run in batches, analyzing several jobs or resumes at once, but the cost below is always per item actually processed (per job analyzed, per resume analyzed), never a flat fee for the whole batch.
